Here’s What Thrills Await during Howl-O-Scream
Howl-O-Scream, at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, is the park’s highly anticipated Halloween celebration. From Sept. 14 through Oct. 27, terror is unleashed throughout the park once the sun goes down. Howl-O-Scream boasts several frighteningly fun attractions, shows and experiences that you won’t want to miss.
Howl-O-Scream has several attractions and activities to enjoy.
Some of Howl-O-Scream’s best attractions are the six, indoor and outdoor haunted house mazes. Each has a different theme and terrifying creatures, monsters and more lurking around.
Circo Sinistro features demonic clowns. Demented Dimensions takes place in Sterling Manor where ancient evils await. Get a glimpse into a dystopian world order at Dystopia. Frostbite is a chilling haunted house—literally. Something scary is lurking in the woods at Lumberhacked. Howl-O-Scream’s most frightening figure, Jack, along with his friends, have been released from the vault at Vault: Overtaken.
During the day, Busch Gardens’ areas are charming recreations of other countries. During Howl-O-Scream, they become immersive scare zones where costumed actors are waiting to give you the scare of your life.
New France becomes Axe Alley filled with the ghosts of Viking warriors. Then, head to the Fool’s Court where a new king has taken the throne at the Royal Palace. Watch out for the jesters waiting to terrorize you. Italy is now the Garden of Souls™, where the dead roam free. Jack the Ripper takes over England and turns the area into a more unsettling place, Ripper Row. Your jaw will drop at the haunts, curiosities and more at Sideshow Square, at Festa Italia. Bloodsucking vampires roam Germany, turning it into Vampire Point.
Howl-O-Scream also has two escape room experiences. You and five other people will race against the clock, solving clues, and try to escape what’s hiding in the room with you. Escape Rooms are not included in Busch Gardens’ admission price but can be purchased as an add-on.
No Escape: Jack’s Twisted Terror features Busch Gardens’ original trickster. Jack is back with new ways to startle those who enter his escape room. No Escape: Grave Obsession is the newest escape room. You’ll certainly be left trembling after the shocking revelation.
Howl-O-Scream will feature three themed shows at the indoor theaters.
Jack is Back is a disco dance celebration at the Abbey stone Theatre. Get your Groove on with Jack in a street-style performance. Monster Stomp on Ripper Row is an entertaining music and dance show starring Jack the Ripper at the Globe Theatre. Watch as vampires sing and dance in Das Festhaus during Night Beats: Revamped.
Aside from the attractions and entertainment, there are even more experiences to be had at Busch Gardens during Howl-O-Scream.
