Experience Family-Friendly Halloween Fun at Busch Gardens
During the Halloween season, there’s nowhere better in the Greater Williamsburg area to celebrate than Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Throughout the month of October, the award-winning theme park hosts Howl-O-Scream, a popular attraction filled with frightening fun after dark.

While Howl-O-Scream offers plenty to see and do, including haunted houses, escape rooms and more, the event may not be right for the whole family. If you’re visiting Busch Gardens with younger children, enjoy some “not-too-spooky fun” at The Count’s Spooktacular.
About The Count’s Spooktacular
On Saturdays and Sundays, from Oct. 4–27, The Count’s Spooktacular will take over Busch Gardens’ Sesame Street Forest of Fun. Children under nine years old are invited to come dressed in their Halloween costumes and experience all the event has to offer during the daytime.
Things to Do during The Count’s Spooktacular
Join in the costume parade and enjoy the family-friendly activities, attractions and more. Stop by different stations throughout the Forest of Fun for trick-or-treating. Then, guide your children through the family-friendly hay maze. The Count’s Spooktacular comes complete with outdoor interactive performances. The Count and his Sesame Street Friends will take to the streets for singing and dancing with your children.
Each weekend of The Count’s Spooktacular features a different theme with different characters. Children will have a chance to dance, party and take pictures with their favorite Sesame Street characters, including Elmo, Grover, Rosita, Bert, Ernie and more.
All children’s attractions close at 5 p.m., before the park sets up for Howl-O-Scream.
